The Business Challenge:

The competition for core Budweiser in China has never been greater, and as consumer tastes changed, Bud released Budweiser Pulse, with a. Stronger, more layered taste sensation, at a premium price to Bud Core. How to accentuate the beer’s difference and appeal in the on-trade environment?

The Design Solution:

A  visual “Pulsing Layers” icon was developed to be at the heart of all communication. Connoting the multi-layers of sensorial enjoyment, the progressive palette radiates from Bud Red to deep red - communicating both the stronger taste and more premium feel of the new Bud Pulse. Simple. Clear. Impactful.
